About me
lan Sabatine is from Pennsylvania and began his training with a competitive dance studio at age seven. Sabatine attended the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts located in Bethlehem, PA where he studied various genres of dance and choreography. After graduating high school in 2020, he attended Shenandoah University (SU) in Winchester, Virginia where he earned his B.F.A. in dance. During his time at SU, he studied under and performed works by professors Daniel Padierna, Tiffanie Carson, Shylo Martinez, Maurice Fraga, Erica Helm, and Ting-Yu Chen. He also had the privilege to work with industry professionals and companies such as Dance Works Chicago, Danielle Sten-Guillermo, Mike Esperanza, Katie Vickers, and Natasha Davis. Right after graduation, Sabatine participated in a "Global Experiential Learning" trip through SU; which involved traveling to Greece. While on the trip he completed a week-long contact improvisation workshop, took contemporary dance classes from local artists, and performed a work by Maurice Fraga for the non-profit organization "PhilotimoNow". Sabatine is excited to begin his professional dance career as a company member of Odyssey Dance Theatre for their 30th season!
