Amy Markgraf, MFA, MA, is a Professor of Dance and the Dance Education Program Coordinator at Utah Valley University. Her love for dancing began as a child with BYU’s Creative Dance Program. Amy is a versatile dance artist who excels in many boxes. She has studied with many acclaimed dance artists and has had the opportunity to perform and teach dancers locally, nationally, and internationally. She is an award-winning choreographer whose works have been commissioned and selected to be performed at dance festivals, numerous times at the American College Dance Association Gala Concerts and as an alternate for the National ACDA Gala Concert. b2conditioning.com, with Kate Monson (Associate Professor, BYU). B2 specializes in creating personalized conditioning programs based on kinesiology and LMBA principles for the effective training and health of dancers. Amy's true love is in the studio teaching where she loves to be moving with her student’s day after day, observing the transformational magic of dance happen. She enjoys mentoring and guiding the learning process. Amy has been the recipient UVU Dean’s Recognition Award for Scholarly Work- Creative and UVU Faculty Teaching Award.
