About me
Jennie Grimes is a wife and mother of five. She is currently the dance teacher at Canyon View High School, principal dancer for St. George Dance Company, member of CCJB ballet and board member for the Cedar Valley Community Theater. She has Bachelor Degrees in Dance Performance and Education with a minor in Theatre from Southern Utah University. Jennie was an adjunct professor at SUU and had the opportunity to choreograph numerous dance works both as a student and faculty member. One of the highlights of her education was being chosen to dance select works of José Limón under the direction of Risa Steinberg from Juilliard in NY. For years Jennie was a competitive gymnast and certified judge. Performed and judged in many different settings, trained in multiple styles/genres of dance, performed with show teams, Arabesque Ballet Company, dance company and Eagle dancers at College of Eastern Utah, Orchesis Modern Company at SUU and most recently with AlambradoDanza as a dancer and choreographer in Florence Italy. She loves teaching, performing and sharing dance with others.
