About me
Jessica Heaton grew up dancing in the San Diego Civic Dance program and completed her dance education at Brigham Young University in 2011. In 2010, Jessica founded the Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company in Provo, UT. She has served as the Artistic Director since its inception and 12 years later has trained over 100 professional dancers and produced 19 full length shows. Jessica has worked with many arts organizations such as the Utah Dance Film Festival, Women’s Artistic Leadership Initiative, Artist Interrupted, BYU Dance Alumni, the Center for LDS Arts, and other artistic projects in the community. Her choreography has been commissioned by Snow College Dance Ensemble, Studio C (a popular YouTube comedy show), the local music group Gentri, and the production company Mystery Box.
